While travelling, when you are practising outdoor sports or even at home in the kitchen. It is therefore essential to always have a first aid kit handy. In a warm and humid climate in the (sub) tropics, in particular, small wounds can quickly become infected. Proper care of wounds is always essential. A high temperature is a sure sign that you may be infected with an infectious disease (e.g. malaria). We therefore advise always carrying a thermometer when travelling. Another aspect is that healthcare facilities in the country of destination are often not up to the standard of those at home.
